Dr. Meckie Achayo is an accomplished Epidemiologist and Implementation Scientist with a Master of Science degree from the University of Witwatersrand. He possesses a deep-rooted passion for Public Health, particularly in the realm of infectious diseases, and is committed to ensuring equitable access to healthcare interventions and services. Dr. Achayo is highly proficient in conducting public health research, proficient in various research methodologies, and demonstrates a keen interest in addressing healthcare disparities. Within MKUTA, he holds leadership roles, overseeing multiple projects including an innovative initiative providing psychosocial and human rights support to communities affected by TB and COVID-19. Additionally, he spearheads the newly established Research and Innovation Unit, where his result-oriented approach and problem-solving skills contribute to overcoming project challenges and delivering impactful solutions.
