JoyCath Comfort is a dynamic young professional currently serving as a Finance Officer at MKUTA. She began her journey with the organization in September 2021 as an intern in the finance department, immediately after graduating from Lovely Professional University in India. During her one-year internship, she gained invaluable experience that laid the foundation for her current role. Prior to rejoining MKUTA as a permanent employee in December 2022, she briefly worked as a Compliance Officer with DTB Bank, further enhancing her skills in compliance. Despite being the youngest professional in the organization, JoyCath is driven by her ambition to become a CPA(T) holder. She is enthusiastic about her career prospects and looks forward to continued growth and development within the organization.
Evelyne Geofrey Mhina
Administrative Officer, MKUTA
Evelyne Geofrey Mhina is the Administrative Officer at MKUTA and plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations across the organization’s Finance, Human Resources, and Programs departments. With a background in administrative roles, Evelyne previously worked at Diversified Transport Limited (DTL), where she supported the Transport department and office operations. Prior to this, she served as a Field Supervisor at IPSOS Tanzania. Evelyne holds a B.P.A. in Public Administration and Management from Mzumbe University of Morogoro. Since joining MKUTA in 2021, she has been instrumental in ensuring that organizational needs are met and systems are functioning efficiently to support the diverse needs of the staff.
Happy Efraimu Temu

Happy Efraimu Temu, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, holds a BA in Sociology and boasts over six years of extensive experience in counselling. Her diverse skill set encompasses counselling, case management, problem-solving, communication, and mediation skills. At MKUTA, she serves as a pivotal point of contact for clients seeking psychosocial and human rights support through the innovative Resource and Call centre. In addition to providing counselling services, Happy facilitates referrals and linkages to appropriate resources for clients in need. Furthermore, she actively engages in community awareness campaigns focusing on TB, COVID-19, and HIV/AIDS. Prior to her current role, Happy played a crucial role at Jhpiego, pioneering a new approach to increase partner notification among vulnerable populations such as sex workers and Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in Dar es Salaam. Her efforts resulted in successfully linking vulnerable populations to HIV care and treatment services, demonstrating her commitment to improving the well-being of marginalized communities.
Hamida Mikidadi

Hamida Mikidadi, a contact agent at MKUTA, plays a vital role in providing psychosocial and human rights support services to the community, particularly focusing on TB, HIV, and COVID-19. With a background as a professional teacher, Hamida holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Languages and Management, and she has further specialized in project planning and management at the Master’s Degree level. Leveraging her professional skills and experience, Hamida assists clients in navigating awareness, availability, and accessibility regarding TB, HIV, and COVID-19 through both call center services and community outreach programs. Prior to her role at MKUTA, Hamida worked in the education field as a course instructor/facilitator at UCMAS – Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System (Tanzania branch), and as an online tutor at Safe Grammar School (an NGO in Cameroon).

Prior to her role at MKUTA, Halima served as a Laboratory Scientist at Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam, where she applied her knowledge of biological science and technology to develop innovative solutions for enhancing human life quality. Her responsibilities included conducting pathological tests, analyzing patient samples, and performing various medical laboratory tasks. Halima holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Wenzhou University in China.
