Amref Health Africa Tanzania serves as the Lead Implementing Partner for this specific
program, with MKUTA acting as the sub-implementing partner in collaboration with Regional
and Council Health Management Teams (R/CHMTs). The implementation period spans from
FY4 2021 to 2025.
The program operates in six districts across two regions, namely Dar es Salaam and Pwani. In Dar es Salaam, the districts include Ilala I, Kinondoni, and Temeke, while in Pwani, they are Kibaha TC, Kibaha DC, and Bagamoyo. Within this project, fifty-five Community Health Workers (CHWs) are connected to 48 Health Facilities (HFs), including six HFs where District Tuberculosis and Leprosy Coordinators (DTLCs) are stationed.
Primary activities include Active Case Finding (ACF), Contact Investigation (CI), Lost to Follow-Up (LTF) tracing, health education, and sputum sample transportation.
