In response to the increased psychosocial distress and stigma faced by TB patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, MKUTA established a Resource Center with a Call Center component under The Global Fund COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) grant, facilitated by Amref Health Africa – Tanzania. Trained Contact Agents provide psychosocial support through this platform, aiding over 150 patients in accessing appropriate services tailored to their needs. MKUTA continues to offer ongoing counselling sessions to individuals and couples diagnosed with TB and HIV, enabling them to access social and welfare opportunities within their communities.
