Through NORAD, ICAP, KNCV, and NTLP-Global Fund grant, we have trained and maintained working relationships with 150 traditional healers and 600 local government leaders. MKUTA established structures that link traditional healers and CHWs in referring people with presumptive TB. As a result, from 2014-2016, 1,920 clients of traditional healers were screened, samples collected and sent to health facilities for diagnosis, 211 of whom were TB positive, enrolled on treatment and supported to take their medication.
