MKUTA adopts a human rights-based approach to TB response, informed by country assessments on legal environments, gender disparities, and data about key populations, in collaboration with NTLP and Stop TB Partnership. Emphasizing community-based strategies, MKUTA guides its strategic direction. Since 2022, MKUTA has spearheaded the implementation of the OneImpact App, locally known as TBKiganjani, as a form of Community-Led Monitoring. This mobile application collects feedback from TB patients and affected communities regarding the availability, accessibility, acceptability, quality of care, stigma, and human rights violations experienced during TB care pathways. Supported by the Stop TB Partnership’s Challenge Facility for Civil Society grant, the project targets key populations, including current and former TB patients, healthcare workers, and community health volunteers.
